The Department of International Studies at the Graduate School of International Studies Successfully Concludes the Spring 2025 Admissions Briefing

On September 21st, an online admissions briefing was held for the International Studies Department of the Graduate School of International Studies for the Spring 2025 term. Following an introduction to the graduate school by Dean Sun-ae Jeon, Professor Tae-hyun Kim presented the academic importance of International Relations, referencing his new book Grasping World Politics from an East Asian Context: Volume I: Concepts and Theories.

지난 9월 21일, 2025학년도 상반기 국제대학원 국제학과 입시설명회가 온라인으로 진행되었다. 전선애 국제대학원장의 국제대학원 소개에 이어, 김태현 교수는 최근 출간한 저서 Grasping World Politics from East Asian Context: Volume I: Concepts and Theories를 바탕으로 국제관계(International Relations) 분야의 학문적 의의를 소개하였다.

In the student section, Braine Antoine from Belgium, and Nursulu Rymbekkyzy from Kazakhstan shared their experiences studying at the Graduate School of International Studies and getting involved in various educational programs. Chung-hwan Lee, president of the student council, introduced the wide range of activities and support programs organized by the council.

재학생 코너에서는 벨기에 출신 브레인 앙투안(Braine Antoine)과 카자흐스탄 출신 누르술루 림벡키지(Nursulu Rymbekkyzy)가 참여하여 국제대학원에서의 학업 및 다양한 교육프로그램 참여경험을 공유하였다. 이충환 국제대학원 원우회 회장은 원우회가 주관하는 다양한 활동과 지원 프로그램을 소개하였다.

In the alumni section, Chen Shengyin said that he is currently working as a Green Economy Researcher at the Shanghai International Design Center in China. He emphasized that studying at the Graduate School of International Studies and preparing for a career in the ESG field was instrumental in his current success. Meanwhile, alumna Hannah Kim, currently pursuing her PhD in the Department of Human Development and Family Studies at Iowa State University, explained that she is conducting research with the Head Start Dissertation Grant, which is awarded to early childhood education researchers. She also pointed out that her time at the Graduate School of International Studies provided a strong foundation for her journey as a researcher.

졸업생 코너에서 첸 셩인(Chen Shengyin)은 현재 중국 상하이 국제 디자인 센터에서 그린경제 연구원으로 활동하고 있다고 소개하며, 국제대학원에서 수학하며 ESG분야에 대해 관심을 갖고 준비한 것이 큰 도움이 되었다고 밝혔다. 현재 미국 아이오와 주립대에서 박사과정 (Department of Human Development and Family Studies)에 재학중인 김한나 동문은 조기 보육 및 교육연구학자에게 주는 Head Start학위논문지원금을 받아 연구를 수행중임을 밝히며, 국제대학원에서의 수학 경험이 연구자로서의 길을 가는데 큰 힘이 되었다고 강조하였다.

Applications can be submitted through the Graduate School's website (http://gsis.cau.ac.kr) or via UWAY (http://www.uway.com).
