GSIS Holds Fall 2026 Semester Opening Meeting

국제대학원, 2026학년도 2학기 개강총회 개최

On September 4 at 6 p.m., GSIS held the Fall 2026 Semester Opening Meeting in Room 703 of Building 301 (Art Center). The meeting was organized by the IEUM Graduate Student Association of the Graduate School of International Studies, with around 40 participants, including professors, current students, and students from the Communication University of China, coming together to mark the beginning of the new semester.

국제대학원은 지난 9월 4일(금) 오후 6시, 301관(아트센터) 703호에서 2026학년도 2학기 개강총회를 열었다. 이번 개강총회는 국제대학원 원우회(이음)의 주관으로 진행되었으며, 국제대학원 교수진과 재학생, 그리고 중국 전매대학교(中国传媒大学) 학생까지 약 40 명이 참여해 새 학기의 시작을 함께했다.

The event began with remarks from President Bomi Kim and Vice President Jimin Lee. Professor Jeongsoon Lee from the Korean-Chinese Program, Professors Minjae Song and Jaehyuk Jung from the Korean-English Program, and Professor Yookyung Byun from GSIS were also present.

행사는 김보미 회장과 이지민 부회장의 인사말로 시작했다. 이어 한·중 전공 이정순 교수와 한·영 전공 송민재, 정재혁 교수, 국제학과 변유경 교수께서 자리했다.

The I.E.U.M. executive committee members then introduced themselves one by one: President Bomi Kim, Vice President Jimin Lee, Woojeong Lee, Isoo Choi, and Jihee Yong from the Planning and Support Team, and Haran Song and Jieun Lee from the Public Relations and Strategy Team. The executive committee announced that it would continue to carry out various student engagement and support programs for graduate students, including snack giveaways during exam periods.

이어 국제대학원 원우회(이음) 임원진을 소개했다. 김보미 회장과 이지민 부회장을 비롯해 기획지원팀 이우정·최이수·용지희, 홍보전략팀 송하란·이지은 임원이 차례대로 인사했다.

원우회는 2학기에도 원우들의 학교생활을 지원하기 위해 시험기간 간식 이벤트 등 다양한 교류 및 지원 프로그램을 진행할 예정이라고 밝혔다.

A quiz event and a prize drawing, which brought more energy and excitement to the proceedings. The event had various programs, including a word quiz, a guess-the-person quiz, and a speed quiz, further brightening the atmosphere.

이어진 퀴즈 이벤트와 경품 추첨 시간에는 학과와 전공에 관계없이 많은 원우들이 적극적으로 참여하며 행사의 열기를 더욱 뜨겁게 만들었다. 단어 퀴즈, 인물 퀴즈, 스피드 퀴즈 등 다양한 프로그램으로 구성된 이벤트는 분위기를 한층 더 밝게 만들었다.

This start-of-semester meeting marked the beginning of the new semester at GSIS while also providing an opportunity for professors and graduate students to come together, communicate, and build closer relationships. The I.E.U.M. Graduate Student Association plans to continue carrying out various activities to support graduate students in their academic life and promote interaction among students.

이번 개강총회는 국제대학원의 새로운 2학기 시작을 알리는 동시에 교수진과 원우들이 한자리에 모여 서로 소통하고 친목을 다지는 계기가 됐다. 국제대학원 원우회(이음)는 앞으로도 학우들의 원활한 학교생활과 활발한 교류를 위해 다양한 활동을 이어갈 예정이다.
