GSIS Holds Spring 2026 Semester Closing Ceremony

국제대학원, 2026학년도 1학기 종강총회 개최

The Graduate School of International Studies (GSIS) at Chung-Ang University held its Spring 2026 Semester Closing Ceremony on June 12 in Room 703 of Building 301. Organized by the GSIS Student Council G.P.S, the event was attended by approximately 40 participants, including Professors Sil-hee Jin and Jun-ho Lee of the Korean-English department of the Advanced Interpretation and Translation Program (AITP), as well as current students. The ceremony provided an opportunity to review the Student Council’s activities over the semester and celebrate the inauguration of a new Student Council, fostering communication and unity among members of the GSIS community.

중앙대학교 국제대학원은 지난 6월 12일(금) 오후 6시, 301관 703호에서 2026학년도 1학기 종강총회를 개최했다. 이번 행사는 원우회 G.P.S.의 주관으로 진행되었으며, 전문통번역학과(AITP) 한·영 전공 진실희 교수, 이준호 교수와 재학생 등 40여 명이 참석했다. 한 학기 동안의 원우회 활동을 결산하고 차기 원우회 출범을 알리는 회장 이·취임식을 함께 진행하며 국제대학원 구성원 간 소통과 화합의 시간을 마련했다.

The event began with a financial report, followed by a review of the Student Council’s major initiatives during the Spring 2026 semester. Participants also watched a video from the Namsan Spring Outing held earlier in the semester, reflecting on memorable moments of friendship and exchange among students.

종강총회는 회계결산 안내를 시작으로 원우회가 2026학년도 1학기 동안 추진한 주요 사업을 공유하는 순서로 진행됐다. 특히 1학기에 진행된 남산 봄나들이 영상을 함께 시청하며 재학생 간 교류와 화합의 순간들을 되돌아보는 시간을 가졌다.

The presidential transition ceremony followed, with outgoing Student Council President Lee Ji-soo Lee from the 21st cohort, handing over leadership to incoming President Bo-mi Kim from the 22nd Cohort. In her farewell remarks, Lee expressed her gratitude to fellow students and council members for their active participation throughout the semester, noting that one of her proudest experiences at GSIS was having the opportunity to work alongside such wonderful members of the community. In her inaugural address, Kim pledged to listen closely to the voices of GSIS students and work as hard as possible to act on what students care about.

이어진 회장 이·취임식에서는 AITP 한·영 전공 21기 이지수 원우회장이 이임하고, AITP 한·중 전공 22기 김보미 학생이 신임 원우회장으로 취임했다. 이지수 원우회장은 이임사를 통해 “국제대학원에서 좋은 분들과 함께할 수 있었다는 사실이 가장 자랑스럽다”며, 한 학기 동안 활동에 적극 참여해준 원우들과 임원진에게 감사의 뜻을 전했으며, 김보미 신임 원우회장은 국제대학원 구성원들의 의견에 귀 기울이며 더욱 활발한 소통과 교류를 위해 노력하겠다는 포부를 밝혔다.

The Student Council also operated a photo booth during the event, which received an enthusiastic response from attendees. Many students visited the booth before and after the ceremony to capture memories with friends, further enhancing the warm and welcoming atmosphere of the gathering

또한 원우회는 행사 당일 포토부스 이벤트를 운영해 참가자들의 큰 호응을 얻었다. 포토부스는 행사 시작 전부터 종료 이후까지 많은 학생들이 이용하며 추억을 남기는 공간으로 활용됐으며, 재학생 간 교류와 화합의 분위기를 더욱 북돋웠다.

The event concluded with a raffle draw, bringing the semester to a close in a cheerful and celebratory mood.

행사 마지막에는 참석자들을 대상으로 추첨 이벤트가 진행되어 즐거운 분위기 속에서 종강총회를 마무리했다.

The Semester Closing Ceremony was a fantastic chance for GSIS members to reflect on the past semester, welcome a new Student Council leadership team, and reaffirm the value of communication, connection, and community within GSIS.

이번 종강총회는 한 학기를 함께 돌아보고 새로운 원우회의 출발을 축하하며, 국제대학원 구성원 간 유대와 소통의 가치를 다시 한번 확인하는 뜻깊은 자리였다.
