GSIS Faculty Attend Joint International Academic Conference 

with Chung-Ang University, Korea University, Shandong University, and Jilin University

국제대학원 교수진, 중앙대-고려대-중국 산동대-중국길림대 연합 국제학술회의 참석

Dean Sun Eae Chun, Professor Ho Gu Kang, and Professor You Kyung Byun of the Graduate School of International Studies (GSIS) participated in the international academic conference held in Changchun, China, from November 21 to 23, 2025, where they delivered presentations and engaged in scholarly discussions.

국제대학원 전선애 원장, 강호구 교수, 변유경 교수는 2025년 11월 21일부터 23일까지 중국 장춘에서 개최된 국제학술회의에 참석하여 발표 및 토론을 진행하였다.

The conference, jointly hosted by Jilin University, Shandong University, Korea University, and Chung-Ang University, was organized under the theme “Reconstructing China–Korea Trust amid New Developments in the Northeast Asian Security Landscape.”

이번 학술회의의 주제는 ‘동북아 안보 정세의 새로운 변화 속에서 중‧한 신뢰관계의 재구축’으로 중국 길림대학교 (동북아연구센터, 동북아연구원, 조선한국연구소) ,중국 산동대학교 (동북아학원), 한국 고려대학교 (아세아문제연구원), 한국 중앙대학교(국제대학원)가 공동으로 주최하였다.

The program consisted of three main sessions of ▲ Evolving Security Dynamics in Northeast Asia (Session 1), ▲ Regional Strategies of China and Korea (Session 2), and ▲ Pathways to Strengthening China–Korea Security Trust (Session 3). Through these discussions, participants examined the shifting security environment in Northeast Asia, explored avenues to enhance mutual trust between China and Korea, and sought opportunities to contribute to broader regional stability and development.

회의는 ▲동북아 지역 안보 정세의 변화(제1의제), ▲중국과 한국의 지역 전략(제2의제), ▲중‧한 안보 신뢰 강화의 경로(제3의제)라는 세 가지 의제로 구성되었으며, 이를 통해 동북아 안보 정세에 대한 이해를 심화하고 중‧한 간 상호 신뢰를 증진하여 지역 발전에 기여할 수 있는 방안을 모색하였다.

Building on the momentum of this conference, the four participating universities agreed to pursue the signing of an MOU and to further expand academic cooperation in the future.

이번 국제학술회의를 계기로 네 대학은 향후 MOU를 체결하고 학술 교류를 한층 더 활성화하기로 합의하였다.
