Global Space Development Trends and the Present and Future of Korea’s Space Industry 

세계 우주개발 동향과 한국 우주산업의 현재와 미래

The Graduate School of International Studies held a special lecture on global space development trends and the present and future of Korea’s space industry with SpaceRadar CEO Si-soo Park on September 26 in Room 703 of Building 301. The lecture was organized by Professor Jun-ho Lee and was attended by about 50 second-year students from AITP.

국제대학원은 지난 9월 26일 (금) 301관 703호에서 스페이스레이더(SpaceRadar)의 박시수 대표를 초청해 “세계 우주개발 동향과 한국 우주산업의 현재와 미래”를 주제로 특별 강연을 열었다. 이번 특강은 한·영 전공 이준호 교수님의 주관으로 개최되었으며 전문통번역학과 2학년생 약 50명이 참여하였다.

SpaceRadar is a space information portal company that provides integrated satellite data and global space development insights, contributing to the advancement of Korea’s space industry.

스페이스레이더는 박시수 대표가 운영하는 우주정보 포털 기업으로, 위성 데이터와 글로벌 우주개발 동향을 종합적으로 제공하며 국내 우주산업 발전에 기여하고 있다.

The lecture covered topics such as global space development trends, the security value of outer space, and prospects for Korea’s space industry. Mr. Park highlighted that the rising security significance of space assets has opened a new paradigm for the growth of national security-related businesses, products, services and technologies. Following the lecture, a Q&A session was held, allowing for discussion on the future of Korea’s space industry, global space investment trends, and innovative technologies related to space assets.

강연은 ▲세계 우주개발 동향 ▲우주의 안보적 가치 ▲대한민국 우주산업 전망 등을 구체적으로 소개했다. 박시수 대표는 우주 자산의 안보적 가치가 증가함에 따라 국가안보 관련 기업, 제품, 서비스, 기술의 성장이라는 새로운 패러다임이 열렸음을 시사했다. 강연 후에는 질의응답 시간을 통해 대한민국 우주산업의 미래, 글로벌 우주 투자 현황, 우주 자산에 관련된 혁신적 신기술 등 다양한 주제가 논의되었다.

Second-year students from AITP provided simultaneous interpretation in Korean-English, Korean-Chinese, and Korean-Russian during the lecture.

특히 이번 특강에서는 전문통번역학과 2학년 재학생들이 한·영, 한·중, 한·러 동시통역을 지원하였다.
